Mr. Sheeley is a native Iowan. He established a successful counseling agency that served families in a three-state area for over 26 years. The children and adults in these families were usually involved in the child welfare or juvenile justice systems. A significant number of the families and individuals served were referred through managed-care entities or were chronically mentally-challenged.

Mr. Sheeley provided consultation and training to child welfare organizations in several states as a trainer at the University of Iowa. He was a Lecturer/Instructor in the graduate Marriage and Family Therapy Program at Iowa State University for five years. Mr. Sheeley enjoys traveling, water skiing, snow skiing, kayaking, and cycling. Neal is married to Rhonda, and they have two adult daughters. Neal and Rhonda spend weekends in the sanity and serenity of Northeast Iowa.
