Dr. Gadam grew up and went to medical school in India. He went to Trinidad due to his interest in tropical medicine. While in Trinidad he worked as house officer in a teaching hospital for three years where he gained a lot of experience in clinical medicine serving different demographics of population in a multiethnic society.
He pursued his interests further to get involved in basic science research at Harvard University in the field of infectious disease, especially HIV.
He enjoys the challenge involved in dealing with chronic diseases, such as diabetes, hypertension, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and infectious diseases.
He lives with his wife, Shreya, and they have two sons. He likes spending time with his family and enjoys playing cricket on the weekends. He is looking forward to forming a team to register for an Iowa league. |  |
