David M. Byrne, MD

Dr. Byrne was born and raised in Carlow, Ireland. Before medical school, he completed a BSc. in Computers at Dublin City University. Dr. Byrne attended Semmelweis University in Budapest, Hungary for his medical training. After medical school, he worked in Dublin, Ireland as a Senior House Officer and then in Malmo, Sweden in the Emergency Room physician and in Family Medicine.

Before his medical career, Dr. Byrne worked as a computer programmer, personal trainer, substitute teacher and a fisherman with a Norwegian fleet in the Arctic, just to name a few. He also speaks a few languages- Hungarian, French, German, Swedish, Norwegian, Irish and occasionally English! He is working on Spanish right now.

David enjoys playing the guitar and singing, which is mainly practice for Karaoke. If he wasn't doing medicine, he'd probably be singing somewhere right now! He has also enjoyed playing Tag Rugby in Ireland, diving and has a Swedish sailing license.

He has an active interest in exercise/sports, and in particular back pain prevention. Dr. Byrne plans on completing a Sports Medicine Fellowship after his residency training.
