Dr. Jindal was born in Muktsar, a small town in Northern India. During her school days, she participated in roller skating hockey and was able represent her state, Punjab, at a national level. After attending Bharati Vidyapeeth Medical College in Pune, Maharashtra for medical school, Dr. Jindal worked as a Resident medical officer in a private hospital in Chandigarh, India. During medical school, she participated in various cultural activities like dance competitions and plays.

Before moving to Cedar Rapids, Dr. Jindal lived in Omaha, Nebraska for three years, where she fell in love with the calm and laidback culture of the Midwest. In Omaha, she worked at Creighton University as a Research Fellow in the Department of Bone and Metabolism. Her professional interests include diabetes mellitus. She is excited to join CRMEF because of the great clinical experience and training our program offers. Also, she believes it is a very close knit and friendly program.

The practice of medicine runs in the family as Dr. Jindal's father is physician, as well as her younger brother, who just started an medicine residency this year in India. Dr. Jindal's husband is a third year Cardiology Fellow. Not to be left out, her mother is a professor.

When she isn't taking care of patients, Dr. Jindal likes to cook different types of food, shop, travel and try adventure sports.
